William is de-bi, co.’s VP of Engineering, leading technology strategy and product development. He architects and delivers platforms that integrate advanced systems architecture, cloud infrastructure, web and mobile applications, and secure digital workflows across the biospecimen research lifecycle, supporting use across academic, clinical, and industry research environments.
Prior to transitioning into software engineering, William spent nearly a decade in business development and sales management within the CPG industry, managing a $70M+ client portfolio and implementing data-driven strategies in collaboration with cross-functional teams. This background informs a data-informed, user-centered approach to system design, with a focus on integrating with legacy biobank infrastructure and mapping digital workflows directly to real-world research operations.
His work has been published in JMIR Human Factors, Blockchain in Healthcare Today, and The American Journal of Bioethics. William is recognized for translating complex technical, regulatory, and ethical requirements into scalable, maintainable systems at the intersection of healthcare, identity, and data interoperability, positioning de-bi’s technology to scale across clinical, academic, and global research ecosystems.
